India meets the Netherlands
Willem de Kooning Academie
The Willem de Kooning places a great importance on having contact with art academies from all around the globe because of a strong belief that different design cultures can learn from each other. When one of their partners; the Apeejay College from India decided to visit the academy, a design conference about our different design cultures would take place on the school. To announce this event, we were asked to create a campaign that would announce and celebrate this collaboration.
During the creation of the campaign, we found out that the Willem de Kooning had a great amount of international partners, yet only 1% of the students would actually go on an exchange thus profit from these contacts. In order to strengthen the international focus of the school, we created a platform that would give students the possibility to collaborate with other design cultures throughout their education.
Whilst starting my internship at Studio Airport, I got asked to create a project that would explain the added value I expected to have to the studio. Since it's hard to brag about yourself as an intern, I decided to not take myself too serious and based the concept on stereotypical tasks of an intern.
